MPN Changes – 2nd Live Meeting

We hope you’re aware of the recent changes that have happened in our Partner Network.

However, we know it’s a lot to take in. You don’t always have the time to read all the communications we send you and it’s not always easy to know where to go if you have questions. That’s why we want to make it a little easier for you. We’re organizing a new call, this time focused on Cloud Essentials.

As you know, this Cloud program is coming to an end and we want to go over the changes and the other options there are for you.

We will hold this call on April 3 at 16h. The call will be 30 minutes long and will include some Q&A time.

Dit jaar organiseren Tech Data en Microsoft géén roadshow in het najaar. We vervangen deze roadshow door onze talrijke opleidingen te geven op meet-it zelf. Er zullen sales en technische sessies gegeven worden in de domes van onze td.education corner. Wilt u erbij zijn? The BeLux WPC 2014 journey has officially begun!

Dear Partners,

We’re happy and excited to announce that we’ve well arrived in Washington, D.C for the WorldWide Partner Conference 2014.

This year we are present with a huge BeLux delegation. With no less than 176 Belux attendees, amongst which 136 partners, we have by far exceeded last year’s attendance amounts.
Today the conference was officially launched with registrations and a great welcome feeling in the convention center. We’ve also been able to enjoy a Welcome Reception and with the BeLux sub we’ve watched the Worlcup Finals in a wonderful venue during our welcome lunch. 
Just like the previous years, we have organized a number of great side-activities with the BeLux delegation to enhance networking and accelerate our partnership. Of course we are also very much  looking forward to the many interesting and valuable break-out sessions. We’re especially excited about the Vision Keynotes taking place on Monday at 8:45 am and Wednesday 8:45 am, US local time. Satya Nadella will be giving an inspirational speech on Wednesday. If you want to follow either of these keynotes, make sure to stay tuned because we will be sharing the link to follow the Live Streaming.

Maybe you recently passed a Microsoft Technical Specialist (TS) exam at the request of your Microsoft Partner Network employer. Great work! This may help your partner organization meet MPN requirements.

We want to help you, as an individual, also showcase your effort. After all, you’re the one who put in the time and energy to get certified.

I’m happy to announce that you can now showcase that knowledge and skillset on your personal LinkedIn page.

It’s simple—sign in to your LinkedIn profile (or set up a new account). Then go Profile, and Edit Profile. On the right-hand side of the page, you’ll see an option for Certifications. Click +Add and type in your recent certification. Make sure you select “Microsoft” from the Certification Authority field. Then click Save.

This option is available for TS certifications as well as Sales or Presales Specialist accreditations, too.

Let’s look at a few scenarios.

Let’s say you’re a systems admin who recently passed Exam 74-325 Administering Office 365 for Small Business. This helps your partner organization meet requirements for the Small Business competency—and helps you individually show off your technical knowledge of Office 365 accreditation. Add that to your personal LinkedIn page.

Or, maybe you’re in a sales role and took the Sales Assessment for Server Platform to help your partner organization meet requirements for the Server Platform competency. You’ve also individually earned the Sales Specialist accreditation for Server and Sales Specialist status. Add that to your individual LinkedIn profile!

By consistently updating your LinkedIn profile, you keep your name in front of your contacts via the LinkedIn news stream. You never know—maybe a potential employer is looking for your skills and the next great job is right around the corner.
