What is an Ignite?
It’s a 4 day technical Partner training with level content 300. The curriculum is cross product, hands-on labs & presentations.

    In Lync 15 many new capabilities are introduced. This track focuses on Lync investments in on-premises, online, and hybrid scenarios. Topics covered in this track include manageability, people, presence, and chat, video and collaboration, business voice, mobility, and Lync Online.

  • Exchange & Office 365 Ignite Technical training (4 days) – Register now!
    This track dives deep into the new capabilities of Exchange and Office for the IT professional. Topics covered in this track include Exchange upgrades, Office deployment, Web Apps, archiving and compliance, moving to Office 365, and Hybrid architectures.

 

  • SharePoint Developer Ignite Technical training (4 days) – Register now!
    The DEV workshop focuses on building apps for Office and SharePoint. Office, Exchange, and SharePoint introduce a new cloud app model. This workshop covers both Office and SharePoint Developer topics including: the cloud app model, app hosting options, authentication, managing apps, managing an app in the store, workflow, BCS, search, social, BI, Office document-centric apps, and mail apps.

 

  • SharePoint IT PRO Ignite Technical Training (4 days) – Register now!
    This is a separate track for IT Professionals. SharePoint architecture is redesigned to scale to businesses and implementations of all sizes. This workshop will enable you to effectively design, deploy, and administer solutions specific to SharePoint 15 products.

  • Meet Windows Azure: From the basics to a working app in 1 day

Dear partner,We invite you to join us for an interesting day where we start by teaching you the basics of the Windows Azure platform and end up with you realizing a working app.Windows Azure is an open cloud platform that enables you to quickly build, deploy and manage applications across a global network of Microsoft-managed datacenters.

This day will not be talks only. We’ll start by getting you up to speed about the Windows Azure platform by bringing you the basic. But after teaching you how to get started, the goal is that you take out your pc and start feeling yourself what Windows Azure is capable of. Session 1 : Marketing update & What’s new for Lync 2013 Clients & Devices

Microsoft® Lync® 2013 is an enterprise-ready unified communications platform. Lync connects hundreds of millions of people everywhere, on Windows 8 and other devices, as part of their everyday productivity experience.  Microsoft Lync 2013 has a redesigned user interface and important new features, Microsoft Lync 2013 delivers a familiar and engaging communications experience accessible across a variety of devices and platforms.   In this session we will focus primarily on the new client features.

Session 2 : What’s new in Lync Server 2013 : Overview, Architecture & Administration

Lync Server 2013 introduces many new features, along with significant enhancements to existing functionality. This session provides a high-level introduction to these new features and enhancements as well as covering a more in depth look at topology, high availability, scale and disaster recovery.  This includes architectural underpinnings for these changes and details around the Lync 2013 enterprise grade resiliency and how the administrator experience toolset is expanded for new scenarios.

Session 3 : What’s new in Lync Server 2013 : Online, Hybrid, Voice & Migration

This session covers Lync Online Manageability, Remote PowerShell, Lync Online Control Panel, hybrid management, voice enhancements and migration.  The Lync-to-phone feature enables users in Office 365 to make calls to, or receive calls from, any phone number. Hybrid Lync deployments now support a single namespace enabling rich coexistence between Lync Online and the On Premise Lync deployment.  Hybrid voice enables customers to leverage the on-premises Enterprise Voice environment for Lync Online users as if they were on-premises Enterprise Voice users.  Lync Server 2013 also introduces several new voice features such as routing, call management and E911 that enhance Enterprise Voice.

Session 4 : What’s new in Lync Server 2013 : Video, Meetings & Persistent Chat

Lync Server 2013 introduces the following new video features : HD video with resolutions up to HD 1080P in two-party calls and multiparty conferences, Gallery View In video conferences that have more than two people and 264 video codec which is now the default for encoding video on Lync 2013 clients. H.264 video supports a greater range of resolutions and frame rates, and improves video scalability.  The Lync Web App adds computer audio and video to provides a complete in-meeting experience for anyone who does not have a Lync client installed locally. Microsoft Lync Server 2013 Persistent Chat Server enables you to participate in multiparty, topic-based conversations that persist over time.  The Lync 2013 client now integrates the features previously provided by Lync 2010 Group Chat client, a separate group chat client is no longer required.
